Euro 2020 is here! After grueling qualifying matches and a year’s suspension due to the ravaging COVID pandemic, this tournament is now scheduled to take place from June 11th 2021 to July 11th 2021. Despite the postponement to 2021, the organizers of the event have opted to retain the name “Euro 2020”.
EURO 2020 HOST
The Euro tournament is held every four years and hosted by nations selected by UEFA. This will be the 16th edition of the competition and it has been selected to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the championship. As a result, UEFA had initially opted to hold the event in 12 different countries, with each country producing a host city. However, Dublin and Bilbao which were selected in this plan later withdrew from it because they couldn’t guarantee spectators on the stands. Instead, Sevilla got some games and the host cities decreased to 11.
